Is Your Current Lack Of Success Because Of A Fear Of Failure

someone who has a fear of successIt’s as simple as a single mindshift where individuals will continuously achieve the goals that they set out, or will constantly fail at them, always coming up short.

Does the actual fear of failure stop these individuals from their success, while they failing to acknowledge or admit it.

This very real fear of failure does exist and will at times lead towards a state of inertia, which is the inability for them to make logical progressive decisions, or take any action at all.

The reason being that they know they’ll be rejected or fail, receive negative feedback, or face a bad outcome. This mental state of thinking is easily identifiable yet easy to correct.

This issue is thought to be a single “think shift” away from anyone becoming successful. However, the dominant and the easier thought form is not wanting to succeed, which at times can be difficult to eliminate.

The Fear Of Success Or The Fear Of Failure
You may currently be experiencing this tendency of expecting failure, as there are also a few signs which point towards the fear of success.

• You devote your life to getting better, implementing self-improvement techniques, but your life remains the same, remains stagnant, and doesn’t improve
• You continuously settle for less than what you feel you deserve, or are capable of achieving
• You’re constantly starting new projects with complete enthusiasm, but your efforts will always stop short before you complete them
• You’re always expecting things to go wrong regardless of how well the situation appears or is progressing

If you’re able to identify yourself in one or more of these situations, you may have the fear of succeeding.

This very real thought form has a way of holding you back from whatever you’re wanting to do. So listed are the known characteristics when it comes to correcting this mind form.

Constant Procrastination
You’re always putting off whatever that needs to be done, or are consciously not doing what you need to do, which should bring you closer to your goal. Although everyone on occasion falls victim to the “demon” of being lazy, some do so more often than others.

Procrastination is one of the biggest culprits which leads towards blunting success, resulting in not reaching goals or destinations, by refusing to take any positive action.

So begin by taking baby steps, do the little things on a daily basis which brings you closer to your goal. Adopt a personal development plan, which may be the key ingredient in the fight against procrastination.

Just decide to take action! Any type of action by refining and redefining these steps, while avoiding not doing nothing. Taking action leads to personal development.

Don’t bother getting caught up thinking that nothing’s more important than the “material” goal as that’s a trap. Never believe that the plan is more important than the end result.

Doing so as a result can force you to miss the other opportunities which may help you in reaching your goal sooner. So just dissolve your ego and allow the universe to find a better route to your goals by remaining flexible.

Believing That The Timing May Not Be Right
You can wait forever if you think that the timing isn’t right before you begin something that’s new. Do you have the habit of waiting until you get more information, stall to find a better plan before you jump in.

Taking action is the key to success. Taking small steps is a lot better than waiting, or doing nothing at all. Even if the action you take doesn’t work out, at the very least, you’ve gained valuable insight about what doesn’t work.

Too Much Of A Perfectionist
You’re always waiting to jump in when the situation or feeling is just perfect, but doing so will also hold you back from moving forward. You feel regardless of how good the job looks once it’s completed, it can always be better or improved upon.

Artists, or those who are in creative development will constantly tell you how they dislike looking at what they’ve just created since they can always find things to improve. Although it may be absolute perfection, a classic, the artist still feels that it’s not good enough.

Just Seeing The Problems
There are some who will just see the problems, potential problems, faults, or the issues in everything that they encounter. So if you’re constantly thinking what’s wrong, it can become pointless as there’s fault in everything.

But there are ways of shifting this particular mindset to your advantage while also striving towards your personal development, by acquiring a better mindset.

There is a method of changing any real or perceived problem to your advantage. You can do so by looking at the problem and then preparing a plan to deal with it.

Every time that you overcome a problem and then effectively fix it, you can take that as a win. Treat it as a gauge for your achievements. If you see more issues, then remind yourself how you dealt with the previous one.

Take a look at how far you’ve come, what you’ve accomplished. The next time that you see a problem, ask yourself how you can overcome and then solve this new challenge.

The quality of your questions and solutions are important. Treat the problem as a fact finding mission, especially if the problem exists and is real. So deal with it.

Overcoming the fear of failure is a journey. Once you follow a specific path and plan, you should then begin experiencing success. This fear will begin to dissipate, and you’ll have moved towards positive personal development.
